Here are a few things about me. I love photography and plumeria and try to learn something new everyday. I believe in the power of visuals. It’s a language we use to see into each other’s lives, one frame at a time. The images I produce are done with quality in mind as a benchmark.
Miami based photographer Tex Norwood captures plumeria in the familiar and commonness in the extraordinary. From plumeria in our nursery in Florida to plumeria gardens around the world, he has dedicated his life to showing the intricate details of the plumeria flower.
Growing up in a small east Texas town, his introduction to photography was unintentional, but fateful. Started learning about photography in the mid 70’s by photographing German Shepard dog shows which resulting in his photos being published in an international magazine. In 1998 he found plumeria and developed an even greater love of photography.
Moving into digital media, Norwood never lost sight of the importance of tending to his image quality to produce an exact representation of the plumeria flower. This passion for both photography and plumeria has increased with each photograph. His fine art photography has been exhibited at the Texas Artist Museum resulting in a private showing, He was also featured in the Spray and Grow catalog and on the cover of their care booklet.
